The sport of cheerleading has grown immensely from its roots over 20 years ago. In the 80's and early 90's, teams were typically formed of athletes who were interested in improving their skills so that they would stand a better chance of making their high school or college cheerleading teams. As the sport developed and grew, more athletes and their parents viewed cheerleading as a viable activity in and of itself.
Cheerleading is not what is once used to be. Teams and athletes now focus on gymnastic and acrobatic moves too. The hybrid sport of today is a combination of gymnastics, acrobatics, athletic dance, strength and conditioning and many other elements. Needless to say, to be a cheerleader you need to be solid, well-rounded athlete. If you’re looking to set-up your game and be a stronger, more dedicated athlete this season, we have just the thing for you!
